Abigail Johnson Dodge

Abigail Johnson Dodge is a two-time James Beard Foundation finalist and IACP Cookbook Award-winning author and instructor. Dodge has written 10 cookbooks, including her latest, The Everyday Baker (Taunton Press, 2015), a James Beard Foundation finalist and International Association of Culinary Professionals Award winner. She studied at La Varenne and worked under Michel Guerard and Guy Savoy, specializing in pastry. She has held food editorial posts at Parents and Woman’s Day and is currently a contributing editor at Fine Cooking magazine, where she has been on the masthead since its inception. She founded the magazine’s test kitchen, has written and contributed to over 80 articles, and serves as its guru for all things baking. Dodge is an acclaimed instructor with strong cooking school connections, including Draeger’s, King Arthur Baking School, Central Market, Southern Seasons, Stonewall Kitchen, Cooks of Crocus Hill and King’s. Additionally, she hosts video classes Baking Boot Camp and Beyond Grandma’s Cake Roll: One Pan, Six New Cakes on Craftsy.com, where she teaches, encourages and interacts with an international group of bakers of all skill levels.
